LIVE FUTURES REPORT 10/08: Comex copper prices fall back; North Korean tensions take centre stage

Comex copper prices slipped lower on the morning of Thursday August 10 in the USA with investors focused on outside factors including escalations between the USA and North Korea.

Copper for September delivery on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange declined 1.30 cents or 0.4% to $2.9140 per lb. Meanwhile in the precious metals complex, Comex gold for December settlement rose $10.50 or 0.8% to $1,289.80 per oz.
