LIVE FUTURES REPORT 11/08: SHFE copper stocks rise for third consecutive week

Deliverable copper stocks at Shanghai Futures Exchange-approved warehouses have risen by 17,062 tonnes or 8.9% over the past week to 207,777 tonnes as of Friday August 11, the third consecutive weekly increase in red metal stocks.

Stocks in Shanggang Wuliu of Shanghai saw the biggest increase of 9,541 tonnes over the past week. The SHFE most-traded October copper contract closed at 49,970 yuan ($7,496) per tonne on Friday August 11, 450 yuan lower than the closing price of 50,420 yuan on August 4.
