India domestic billet down by $3 per tonne on weak demand

Steel billet prices in India’s local market had weakened slightly by the end of the current week as buyers of finished steel products cut back their activity and withdrew from the market, Metal Bulletin heard on Friday August 11.

Indian domestic secondary billets, mainly produced through the induction method, ended the week priced at Rs26,900-27,200 ($419-424) per tonne ex-mill.
