NON-FERROUS WEEK IN BRIEF: TradeCloud interview; copper Shanghai bonded stocks; Nigel Dentoom to step down

TradeCloud, the digital metals trading platform set up by former Trafigura senior executives Simon Collins and Matthew Botell, will launch in September with a desire to simplify buying and selling commodities central to the company, they told Metal Bulletin in an interview.
Newly proposed standards by China’s government could effectively prohibit scrap imports into the country if implemented, according the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI). 
Copper stocks in Shanghai-bonded warehouses ended August lower compared to month previous, while nickel levels fell by over 50% on an annual comparison after a lack of supply met a pick-up in buying interest.
