Metal Bulletin’s assessment of prices for October/November shipments of commercial-grade, boron-containing SS400 HRC was $555-570 per tonne fob for the week ended Tuesday September 5, up by $5-10 per tonne from
a week ago.
A Beijing-based trader said he had concluded a transaction involving 5,000 tonnes to Vietnam at $555 per tonne fob last Wednesday. Meanwhile, a source at a northern Chinese mill said that it had sold several hundred tonnes to the overseas market at $560 per tonne fob last week.
