China’s stainless steel prices up on low inventories

China’s domestic stainless steel prices have moved up over the past week amid low inventory levels.

Metal Bulletin’s assessment of prices for benchmark 304 stainless cold rolled coil was 16,800-17,200 yuan ($2,584-2,645) per tonne including VAT in the major market of Wuxi for the week ended Thursday September 7, up 500-600 yuan per tonne from a week earlier.
