LME considers making cobalt, molybdenum contracts cash-settled

The London Metal Exchange is looking at making molybdenum and cobalt cash-settled, it said at its Town Hall meeting on Thursday September 7.

It is also considering introducing cash-settled regional aluminium premiums, cash-settled alumina contracts and a lithium contract, the LME revealed at the meeting.
There have been requests from members to introduce these premiums following its discussion paper consultation, the LME told attendees. The introduction will be subject to further consultation, it added.
