Q4 aluminium MJP deal done at $95/t, down 20% from last quarter

A deal for aluminium supplied to Japan for the fourth quarter was concluded this week at $95 per tonne cif main Japanese ports (MJP), down 19.8% from the third quarter, Metal Bulletin understands.

The deal between the producer and trader was for the supply of 1,500 tonnes of aluminium during the October-December quarter. “We had targeted $90 initially but the producer wouldn’t accept it.
