Brazilian industrial groups call for no new duties in HRC trade case

Several Brazilian industrial associations are demanding that their government reject a plan to adopt anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures against imports of hot rolled coil (HRC) from China and Russia.

A total of 18 associations have sent a petition to the government, asking for anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations to be concluded without applying any punitive measures.
The coalition is headed by capital goods association Abimaq, and includes groups representing various manufacturing sectors, such as automotive association Anfavea, shipbuilding association Sinaval, and electronics manufacturers association Eletros.
