Usiminas will increase domestic flat steel prices by 10.2% in October

Brazilian flat steel producer Usiminas will raise prices for most flat steel products by 10.20% on October 5, due to higher international prices.

The price rise will apply to hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC) and coated steel products. Heavy plate products will not be affected by the price increase. “The increase is a response to the recent changes in steel prices in the international market, and aims to adjust values in the Brazilian and external markets,” Usiminas told Metal Bulletin on Tuesday...
