CIS billet export market plunges following Turkish scrap price falls

Prices in the Black Sea billet export market have plunged over the past week, as offers from CIS-region suppliers to Turkey and Egypt went down, tracking the negative dynamics in Turkish import scrap prices.

No business was heard done because buyers were said to be expecting further declines in prices.
The Metal Bulletin CIS billet index sank by $18 per tonne to $506 per tonne fob Black Sea on Monday October 2, from $524 per tonne fob a week earlier.
