Off-exchange aluminium stocks down to 6m tonnes, or even lower – sources

Off-exchange inventories of aluminium outside of China have dropped to around six million tonnes, a number of market participants estimated on the sidelines of the 32nd Metal Bulletin Aluminium conference in Bahrain last week.

The bulk of the material remains in Asian warehouses, sources say, estimating stocks at around 2.5 million tonnes, including around 600,000 tonnes of material in South Korea.
