BHP's Escondida copper mine reaches early wage deal with supervisors

Chilean copper mine Escondida has reached an early wage deal with its supervisors’ trade union, Sindicato No 2, it said on Friday October 6.

The new “mutually beneficial agreement” will be valid for 36 months, the miner operated by BHP added.
The deal paves the way for Escondida to seek the resumption of contract talks with its worker’s trade union, Sindicato No 1.
