China’s HRC export prices fall on domestic market weakness

Export prices for Chinese hot rolled coil remain weak after China’s Golden Week, with domestic demand yet to show any signs of picking up.

Metal Bulletin’s assessment of prices for November/December shipments of commercial-grade, boron-containing SS400 HRC was $550-560 per tonne fob for the week ended Tuesday October 10, down $10-25 per tonne from two weeks ago. Metal Bulletin rolled over its assessment of $560-585 per tonne fob last week as the country was on holiday for the whole of last week.
