Ferro-vanadium prices fell to $36.45-37 per kg, delivered duty-paid in Europe, down from $36.95-37.50 per kg at the end of last week, according to Metal Bulletin’s assessment.
“There is such slow demand, and you get to a point where you need to make sure you get the business,” a trader source said.
“When an end-user comes into the market they have 15 potential sellers. When the truckload enquiries come [the price] could really take a beating,” a second trader added.
