EUROPE HRC: Domestic prices stable, stocks high

European domestic prices for hot rolled coil (HRC) remained largely unchanged this week, as plentiful supplies limited buying activity, sources told Metal Bulletin.

“Demand is lower then it was a couple of weeks ago as buyers have high volumes of the material purchased in August-September,” a Northern European trader said.
Metal Bulletin’s weekly price assessment for domestic HRC in Northern Europe remained at €530-540 ($623-635) per tonne ex-works on Wednesday October 25.
The assessment reflects the “workable” price level, while official offers were reported at €560-580 per tonne ex-works.
