Taiwanese scrap import prices slow ascent as demand falters

Taiwan’s prices for imports of containerized HMS-grade ferrous scrap lost some upward momentum as demand faltered.

Prices continued to rise but at a less rapid pace given the slowdowns in other regional scrap import markets last week. Sellers continued to increase their offers but were unable to secure sales at the price levels they wanted.
