CIS FLAT STEEL: Prices keep sliding on insufficient demand

Export prices for CIS-origin hot-rolled coil (HRC) and cold-rolled coil (CRC) continued to trend downward over the past week, due to low demand, with buyers convinced that prices still have room to decrease.

Metal Bulletin’s weekly price assessment for CIS HRC exports was $515-545 per tonne fob Black Sea on Monday November 13, down from $530-550 per tonne fob Black Sea.
The highest offers are traditionally heard in West Africa. Ukraine-origin HRC was available for customers in this region at $560 per tonne fob Black Sea.
