NLMK foresees 40% rise in heavy plate volumes in Brazil in 2017

Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) is seeing an increase in the sales volumes and prices of heavy plate in Brazil in 2017, compared with the previous year.

The company expects to end the year with a rise of 40% in sales volumes compared with 2016, due to growth in its market share, NLMK South America business area manager Paulo Seabra told Metal Bulletin on Monday November 13. “We focused on sales to equipment maintenance services, especially yellow goods,” Seabra said.
