US steelmaker Nucor to build $250mln rebar micro-mill in Missouri

Nucor Corp plans to build a $250-million reinforcing bar micro-mill near Kansas City, Missouri, and is eyeing another in the southeastern United States.

The micro-mill, to be located in Sedalia, Missouri - about 90 miles east of Kansas City- is scheduled to start production in 2019, Nucor said in a November 21 press release.
