GLOBAL MANGANESE WRAP: Ore grades diverge while Chinese silico-manganese prices increase

High grade manganese ore prices reversed recent losses on Friday November 24, while low grade material slides more slowly.

High grade manganese ore prices clawed back some recent losses while the decline in low grade prices slowed.
Trading volumes were thinner because most Chinese market participants were awaiting offer prices for December-delivery from a large miner, expecting a drop of about 35 cents per dry metric tonne unit (dmtu), participants said.
Metal Bulletin’s 44% manganese ore index, cif Tianjin rose 8 cents to $6.16 per dmtu.
