Iran's seven-month steel imports shrink 33% on lower HRC deliveries

Iran imported 1.15 million tonnes of steel products over the first seven months of the current Iranian year (April-October 2017), down by 33% year-on-year, according to a report from the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).

The decrease was mainly due to reduced deliveries of hot-rolled coil (HRC), with volumes down by 54% year-on-year over the seven months, to 501,000 tonnes.
