DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Prices rise as Turkish mills book more cargoes for January

Turkish scrap import prices have continued to rise with the mills in the country being active in the market for January cargoes, sources said on Tuesday December 5.

Metal Bulletin’s daily index for Northern Europe-origin HMS 1&2 (80:20) scrap closed the day at $333.74 per tonne cfr, up by $6.64 per tonne day-on-day. The daily index for similar material from the United States closed at $343.94 per tonne cfr, up by $7.09 per tonne day-on-day.
