EUROPE BEAMS: Prices continue rise on positive market sentiment

Domestic prices for European steel beams maintained their upward trend this week with markets aided by bullish predictions for the first quarter of next year, sources told Metal Bulletin on Wednesday December 6.

Metal Bulletin’s price assessment for commodity-grade, 200x200mm, category-2 H-beam made in Northern Europe moved upward by €5 per tonne to €600-625 ($711-740) per tonne delivered on Wednesday, compared with €595-620 per tonne delivered last week.
Southern European domestic prices also increased by €5 per tonne, to €600-620 per tonne delivered, compared with €595-615 per tonne delivered seven days ago.
