Metal Bulletin’s daily fob Australia alumina index
was calculated at $419 per tonne on Thursday December 7, a decline of 5.4% week on week.
The largest daily decline was seen on December 6, as a cargo of Australian alumina traded at $419 per tonne, taking the index down to $419 on Wednesday from $442.89 per tonne the day before.
Relative weakness in aluminium prices is to blame for the raw material price declines, sources said.
