GULF STEEL BILLET, REBAR: Rebar imports still weak, but prices rise

The rebar import markets in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia have remained weak over the past seven days but prices have increased because of higher offers, Metal Bulletin has heard.

Billet import prices also increased, but no major bookings were heard, sources told Metal Bulletin on Tuesday December 12.
Iranian mills were offering billet at $500-505 per tonne cfr to the UAE, while CIS origin billet was offered at $525 per tonne cfr.
