China AM: Ferrous futures up amid strengthening steel export prices

China’s ferrous futures increased across the board during morning trading on Wednesday December 13 with export prices for Chinese steel products continuing to rise.

Shanghai Futures Exchange
May rebar: 3,864 yuan ($584) per tonne, up 26 yuan per tonne
May hot-rolled coil: 3,896 yuan per tonne, up 33 yuan per tonne
Dalian Commodity Exchange
May iron ore: 507 yuan per tonne, up 8.50 yuan per tonne
May coking coal: 1,293.50 yuan per tonne, up 11.50 yuan per tonne
May coke: 2,089.50 yuan per tonne, up 7.50 yuan per tonne
Raw materials
Metal Bulletin’s 62% Fe Iron Ore Index increased by $2.43 per tonne to $71.25 per tonne on Tuesday.
