CHINA HRC: Domestic prices lose some ground on subdued futures

China’s domestic market for hot-rolled coil dipped on Wednesday December 13 after the paper market weakened further despite posting some gains earlier in the day.

Domestic Eastern China (Shanghai): 4,300-4,320 yuan ($650-653) per tonne, down 10-20 yuan per tonne Northern China (Tianjin): 4,290-4,310 yuan per tonne, down 20 yuan per tonne HRC futures declined for a third consecutive day, which weighed on spot prices as well as trading volumes, according to market participants.
