CIS PIG IRON: Buyers opt for port stocks as mills increase offers

Exporters of CIS-origin pig iron have raised their offers again to exploit low availability, but buyers prefer to make purchases from port stocks, sources said this week.

“I haven’t heard about new bookings of large volumes, in Italy and Turkey in particular,” one trader told Metal Bulletin. “[But] there are good bookings from stock in discharge ports.”
