ThyssenKrupp reaches deal with union over German sites in merger with Tata Steel

German steel conglomerate ThyssenKrupp and the country's leading metalworkers union, IG Metall, have reached a deal regarding the planned 50:50 joint-venture with Tata Steel Europe, ThyssenKrupp said on December 21.

The agreement will set collectively agreed parameters for the German plants in the joint venture.
The settlement will come into force at the start of the joint venture and will apply for about eight years, until September 30, 2026.
