Three US mills follow Nucor's $50 per ton price rise for steel plate

SSAB, ArcelorMittal and Evraz have followed the lead of United States steelmaker Nucor and raised steel plate prices in the country by at least $50 per ton ($2.50 per hundredweight).

The development means that all major US plate mills have participated in a fourth round of plate price rises. The increase was effective immediately for all new spot orders and for existing spot orders scheduled to ship on or after the week of February 18, SSAB said.
