TURKEY FLAT STEEL: New deals lead to price rises despite moderate demand

Most flat steel prices in Turkey increased this week, despite demand remaining weak, market participants told Metal Bulletin on Friday January 12.

Local producers are accepting orders for March production, and prices are expected to continue increasing for April bookings as well because raw materials prices are high, sources said.
Domestic prices
Hot-rolled coil (HRC) producers in Turkey have been offering material at $620-630 per tonne ex-works for March production.
And deals have been heard at $620-630 per tonne ex-works, sources told Metal Bulletin.
