CIS STEEL SLAB: Prices rise on flat steel strength, low availability

Export slab prices from the CIS region rose by $25 per tonne over the first half of January, because of the rise in finished flat steel prices as well as the reduced availability of the semi-finished material, sources told Metal Bulletin on Monday January 15.
