The court requested that Hydro keep operations suspended until the integrity of the DRS2 unit has been fully verified and a new operational license has been issued.
Alunorte currently has an installation license covering the construction and commissioning of the DRS2.
The order comes amid concerns that extreme rainfall during a storm had led to leakages from Alunorte into a nearby river and caused contamination.
