Two more offers for Q2 MJP aluminium at $133-135/t, buyers call for sub-$130/t

Two more producers have offered premiums of $133-135 per tonne for second-quarter aluminium supply to main Japanese ports (MJP), a level buyers are not yet prepared to accept, four market sources told Metal Bulletin.

One of the producers offered a cif premium of $133 per tonne and the other offered at $135 per tonne, the sources said.

The latest offers, which match offers made by two different producers last week, mean that all four major producers supplying Japan have now put numbers on the table in the range of $133-135...
