INTL COPPER CONF: China’s copper scrap output to double by 2025 - Jinrui Futures

China’s domestic copper scrap output is expected to double over the next seven years to fill the supply gap arising from import restrictions, Jiangxi Copper’s brokerage arm said at the Metal Bulletin International Copper Conference on Thursday.

In 2017, the world’s largest copper consuming country produced approximately 1.7 million tonnes of copper scrap, according to Lu Ganping, general manager of Jinrui Futures.
