China AM: Futures mixed after tomb-sweeping holiday

China’s steel futures picked up some gains during morning trading on Monday April 9 while steelmaking raw materials contracts largely softened after a major steel-producing city in north China unveiled restrictions for the next six months.

May hot-rolled coil: 3,746 yuan per tonne, up 12 yuan per tonne
Dalian Commodity Exchange
September iron ore: 439 yuan per tonne, up 1 yuan per tonne
May coking coal: 1,286.50 yuan per tonne, down 12.50 yuan per tonne

May coke: 1,857 yuan per tonne, down 33 yuan...
