Brazil's Usiminas to resume operations at Ipatinga blast furnace

Brazilian flat steel producer Usiminas is to resume operations at its No1 blast furnace at its Ipatinga works, in the country’s south-eastern Minas Gerais state, on Tuesday April 17.

The restart of the furnace demanded investment of around 80 million Reais ($23.35 million), the company said previously.
