China’s wire rod export prices slide on bearish outlook

Export prices for Chinese wire rod continued to fall over the past week amid pessimism about demand for the product over the next few months.

Metal Bulletin’s assessment of prices for May shipments of chromium-added mesh-quality wire rod was $550-565 per tonne fob for the week ended Tuesday April 17, down $5-10 per tonne from a week earlier.
