Chinese Ali alloy producers expect “huge impact”, price rises due to 1-mth ban on US scrap imports

Chinese aluminium alloy producers have forecast imminent price rises for their products after the government slapped a one-month ban on non-ferrous scrap imports from the United States.

The Chinese Certification and Inspection Group (CCIC) North America notified US exporters on May 3 that they would be unable to bring non-ferrous scrap into China until June 4.
