EUROPE SECTIONS: Prices fall again on lower offers in quiet conditions

Prices for domestic hollow steel sections dropped again in Northern Europe this week after a third week of reduced activity led to lower offer prices, market sources told Metal Bulletin on Wednesday May 9.

Metal Bulletin’s price assessment for commodity-size, grade-S235 square hollow sections made and delivered in Northern Europe fell by €5 to €650-655 ($773-779) per tonne delivered on May 9, from €655-660 per tonne last week.
