Canada starts trade probe into cold-rolled steel from China, South Korea, Vietnam

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal on Monday May 28 started its preliminary injury inquiry into imports of cold-reduced flat-rolled carbon steel products from China, South Korea and Vietnam.

The products covered are alloy and non-alloy flat steel in coil or sheet form with thicknesses up to 3.61mm and widths up to 1854mm inclusive.

The inquiry will determine whether the alleged dumping and subsidizing of those goods have caused, or are threatening to cause, injury to the industry, according to a notice by the tribunal...
