Brazil's pig iron export prices stable amid strike-related production issues

Export prices for Brazilian pig iron were unchanged this week, with all production facilities in the country coming to a halt due to the truck drivers’ strike over recent fuel price rises.

Metal Bulletin’s weekly price assessment for Carajás-origin pig iron exports was stable week on week on Friday June 1, at $395-400 per tonne fob.
Over the same period, Metal Bulletin’s weekly price assessment for Minas Gerais-origin pig iron exports was steady at $390-395 per tonne fob.
