East Asian stainless steel market stable on unchanged fundamentals

Import prices for stainless steel in East Asia kept largely steady over the past week, amid stable domestic demand in China and tepid regional demand.

Metal Bulletin’s price assessment for benchmark 304 stainless 2mm trimmed cold-rolled coil was $2,150-2,240 per tonne cif East Asian ports for the week ended Wednesday August 8, widening upward by $10 per tonne from $2,150-2,230 per tonne cif a week earlier.
