RUSSIA FLAT STEEL: Traders expect lower prices in October

Traders are expecting prices for hot-rolled (HR) and cold-rolled (CR) steel sheet in Russia’s Central Federal District around Moscow to reduce in October on a weak export market, rouble revaluation and reducing demand.

Mills are supposed to announce prices for October later this week.
Meanwhile Metal Bulletin’s weekly price assessment for Russia-origin 4mm HR sheet was at 44,600-47,600 roubles ($670.52-715.62) per tonne cpt Moscow on Monday September 24, including 18% VAT, unchanged week on week as new prices had not been announced yet.
