NEWSBREAK: Alcoa workers end strike in Australia, but no wage deal reached yet

Workers at Alcoa's Western Australian alumina operations have agreed to end a strike that started on August 8 and return to work on Monday, the Australia Workers’ Union (AWU) announced on Friday September 28.

"Alcoa workers have voted to go back to work," AWU national secretary Daniel Walton said on Twitter.
A spokeswoman for Alcoa of Australia confirmed to Metal Bulletin that workers had agreed to return to work despite the fact that no wage deal had yet been agreed.
