Prices for light iron scrap in the United Kingdom have been steady over the past week, tracking the stability in export prices to key destinations such as Turkey and the Indian subcontinent, which have consolidated the rises seen through September.
Prices for shredded ferrous scrap imported into India moved up again this week, continuing their recovery from some falls in mid-August
Taiwanese import scrap prices increased slightly over the week due to stronger demand, while prices in Vietnam lingered.
Peabody has restricted workers’ access to its North Goonyella mine in Australia following the emergence of signs of a fire.
