Major Japanese producer to hike HRC offers for November

A leading Japanese steel major will increase its offers for November-shipment hot-rolled coil sold to major buyers in Southeast Asia by $5-10 per tonne cfr from October's offers.

“There continues to be some bullish factors in the market, such as planned maintenances at a major HRC line in northeast Asia,” a source with knowledge of the mill’s latest move told Fastmarkets MB.
The source did not disclose the final offer price or quantities available for export.

The mill expects Asian HRC demand in October and November to remain stable and for end-users to continue spot purchasing...
