LME WEEK 2018: Responsible sourcing proposals ineffective in current form, says Global Witness

The London Metal Exchange's position paper on responsible sourcing does not go far enough and its proposals will be ineffective in their current form, according to a campaign leader at Global Witness.

The proposals, which would require all of the LME's brands to undertake an assessment against the red flag indicators set out by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), were published on Friday October 5.
