Billet prices were flat and futures increased a mere 1 yuan per tonne, causing spot market traders to maintain their prices.
Trading activity remained low. Buyers expected spot prices to drop given futures prices were much lower than those in the spot market, so they booked minimal quantities of the product, market sources said.
